When itβs the only everything store you have in town, itβs basically a one-stop shop for life. π You can get groceries, household stuff, clothes, and somehow everything else you didnβt know you needed. Is it perfect? Probably not. But when itβs your only option, itβs as good as it gets! π 10/10 β would shop again. βββββ

This is the place to buy affordable meals and great Alaskan souvenirs and outdoor gear. If traveling on holiday in Alaska you can save a bunch of money eating lunch here. I bout a pair of Alaska novelty socks for $8. They were $27 in a fancy gift shop.

Juneau Fred Meyer is the worst. The main manager from anchorage was in Juneau and I asked about a certain product they had tags for on shelf but it never gets filled , always empty. The Manager was in the phone right then and told me the other main manager was coming from anchorage the next day and would bring 30 of them and give me a call. This was before Christmas. I never got the call and they never restocked the product. Horrible management skills if you ask me. Customer is saying they will buy multiple of product and still dont help the customer. Till this day it never got restocked and now they took the tags down. And some wonder why we donβt shop local. Online is much more convenient, especially when you wait many months to support the store in your town and they blow you off.

This is one of Juneau's largest grocery stores, and it's very well stocked. They also have a separate section that sells clothing and small appliances, so it's like a supermarket and department store all in one. There's a massive parking lot with plenty of spots, a full-service pharmacy, and an on-site fuel center too. Since this chain is owned by the same one that runs Kroger and Smith's I was excited that I could earn rewards points with my purchase! The store has a big deli and bakery with fresh items, and has all sorts of local and national brands. The prices are on the high side (this is Alaska, after all), but they carry just about everything you could ever need or want. There's even a small section that sells generic Alaska souvenirs if you need to pick up something for the folks back home.

If you aren't familiar, this massive place is like the old mega Walmarts used to be. It's a massive department store with full grocery and deli counter. You can save some serious money if you are willing to buy off-brand/store brand as this is a part of Kroger.
